Let's Be Honest
Only 0.5% of people in the US are Vegan. That's only about 1 million people. And for some reason, people can become OBSESSED with what other people eat. I can't tell you how many rude comments, dirty looks, and bad jokes I get when I tell people I'm vegan. And I'm not even 100% vegan. Why? It's hard. We're mortal - we're not perfect. I have really good months and really bad months. Some months I'm totally locked in, I feel amazing, and I eat incredible food. Other months I'm traveling or visiting family or going to a lot of work events or eating out a lot and cheese and dairy and eggs sneak into my diet. I reboot, I try again, and I get back on track. Vegan for Mortals is to guide us all along - to try and do our best to eat the healthiest food we can, and when we fall off the bandwagon, we catch the next one that comes along. We're mortal, it happens.

It's time to stop thinking eating a whole food, plant based, and yes that means VEGAN diet won't get you all the vitamins, calcium, protein, and iron you need. Plant based diets can prevent and reverse illnesses, reoccurring ailments, and even aid in cancer defense. And yes, they can be SUPER easy to make and SUPER delicious to eat.
